1/15
This 1/96 scale model is based on the hull of a British Collosus class carrier that was later sold to the Netherlands (where it became R81 Karel Doorman), and afterwards to Argentina where it became ARA Venticinco de Mayo. The configuration in these files are from its days as Karel Doorman, but should be easy to edit to the 25 de Mayo as necessary. I have included some details on it, but it’s a bit of a “bare bones” style model that can be detailed in any way you like!
I tried to keep all pieces under 250mm for printing. Some slicing may be required though.
At 1/96 scale, this model is about 2.2m long, 375mm wide, and 570mm tall.
I have not printed this plan personally yet, so if you run into any glaring issues please let me know and I will modify and directly send you corrected files as necessary.
Edit 1: It was brought to my attention that the 25 de Mayo had a flight deck that was extended a bit more than the Karel Doorman. As such, I made an add-on file that matches the curves of the base model to extend the flight deck. (Picture included in photos above.)
Edit 2: The very tip of the bow near the keel was too thin for 3D print slicers to recognize, so there was a strange chunk missing out of the bow in the print preview. I have revised that portion to make it thicker and it should work now. Updated file included.
