1/15
This 1/96 scale model is based on the Oliver Hazard Perry class guided missile frigate (FFG.) Specifically, it’s based off of the configuration of my first ship FFG-49 USS Robert G. Bradely in it’s early 2000's configuration. (Hence the missing missile launcher.) It was also my very first attempt at 3D modeling. I’ve gone back with the skills I’ve developed over the past few months and attempted to edit it as best as I could without starting from scratch, but keep in mind that I didn’t know how supports worked at that time. It may not be the easiest to print, but I know it does work as a few of my friends have created successful test prints (even before the edits.)
I tried to keep all pieces under 250mm for printing. The mast may need to be sliced a bit though.
At 1/96 scale, this model is roughly 1.45m long, 140mm wide, and 415mm tall.
Update 1 (11/2/25): I added in the file I created to make a stand for the model (as pictured.) It is marked with USS ROBERT G. BRADLEY, but the nameplates can be reversed to the flat side to decal/paint on whichever name you want to use. There is an I marked on the stand front/back to indicate which sides should be facing inside.Update 2 (11/2/25): I received a request to make this a waterline model, so I am including a zip file of the hull pieces cut at the waterline. Assembly instructions/file numbers are still the same, just without everything from the WL below.
