1/18
This model is based on the WWII era Soviet BK1124 “Bronekater” river monitor. These boats were thrown together using parts available at the time, so many of them were different in appearance (from hull shape to spray rails to weapons.) So for you sticklers out there, this is MY take on the boat and may not be “perfect.” I am including 3 different types of armament as well that are interchangable: the T-34 tank turret, T-28 tank turret, and the Katyusha rocket launcher. This model was designed by request, and the requested scales were 1/16, 1/24, and 1/35. The instructions cover all three, and all three scales are included.
Since there are 3 scales, I had to cut the model up into smaller pieces for the 1/16 scale to accommodate a 250^3 print area. I sliced the 1/16 scale pieces in half (with connecting walls and alignment holes) to fit the same. You can see this in the last 2 pictures.
Due to the low freeboard design of this model, I kept the deck intact with the hull with internal access via holes with coaming as requested. Since the internal access is limited, I opted to use angled flanges to fit hull pieces together as opposed to my usual bulkhead design. Running gear installation will likely need to happen during hull construction as opposed to after to maximize access. (At least on the 1/24 and 1/35 scales.) I also made a very generic motor mount, as I don’t know which motor you will want to use. The holes in the middle of the mount and the angles align directly with the shafts.
Overall dimensions for each scale below (L,W,H):1/16: 1.6m, 255mm, 535mm1/24: 1.05m, 170mm, 357mm1/35: 722mm, 116.6mm, 245mm
