This 1/48 scale RC model is based on the Swedish Visby class stealth corvette. It’s a model request from my friend Peter who was also print tested and troubleshot design issues with me. Some construction details were specifically requested (like 6mm shaft tube holes), so this model differs a bit in some ways from my usual designs.

The Visby utilizes two Kamewa Waterjets for propulsion. For this model, it was requested that I design a system that LOOKS like water jets, but utilizes a standard shaft and prop configuration. Work is in progress on getting a semi-scale nozzled version to work. However because it’s more of a water jet pump than a Kort nozzle, it’s needing some design tweaks. A non-nozzled version with normal screws and rudders has been successfully tested though, so this model is being released with THAT design. Once the nozzled version has been designed and successfully tested, I will release the files as an update for download. (And don’t worry: if you purchase the model once, you have access to all updates afterwards.)

As always, I kept pieces under 250mm for printing, but some small pieces will need to be resin printed. Overall dimensions for this model are: L: 1.5m, W: 213mm, H: 442mm.
