cgt-clients buying several models, any idea what is going on?

Discussion started by nollieinward

Today account cgt-clients bought many of my models. However, when I check My Sales report there is no country of the buyer. Models were bought at full price even though currently all my models are 30% off.

Is it some kind of internal testing by Cgtrader? Anyone has an idea what is going on?

Hello there,

This is actually good news! :) These purchases were made by an enterprise client of CGTrader. Some enterprise clients have special purchasing agreements, which may not always reflect the standard discounts visible on the marketplace.

It's always exciting to see more sales coming in - hope you continue to have great success with your models!

Hello. I have had some sales too. Do these sales have anything to do with AI training? I expect sales to continue like this. Thank you.

This account just bought about 25 of my models, however at a very small fraction of the price. $25 model sold for about $4 for instance. What is goinh on?

I have now this customer bought about 150 models, but the money did not come to the account. Do you have the same situation?

I also sold about 200 models to this buyer, but the sales list only shows about a hundred, that is, only half(

I have the same situation, out of 200 sales only two downloads, and nothing is reflected in payments either

The "cgt-clients" label in the Buyer column indicates that the purchases were made by one of our verified enterprise clients under a bulk licensing agreement. In such cases, a 70% discount is applied according to your account settings and our Terms and Conditions. This is a standard process for enterprise buyers purchasing in volume.

Regarding the sales not appearing in the Monthly Summary, it's possible that there is a delay in updating the summary or a technical issue. Here are a few suggestions:

Check Back Later : Sometimes, sales data might take a little time to update across all sections of the platform.
Sales Report : You can download a detailed sales report from your profile to verify the transactions.
Contact Support : If the issue persists, it might be best to reach out to the support team for clarification and assistance.
If you need further help, feel free to let me know!

Thanks but... 70% discount according to my settings ?

cgt-clients bought my models of a fraction of the official price wtf? Absolutely a no go. Deleted all my models here, just a waste of time.

JuditaCGTrader why it's good? How can i disable this ? I didn't agree with this, basically it's like stealing my models.

I feel bad having my models being sold at such a low price that I never chose to. I know this change happened at some point in terms and conditions and I didn't realize, but to default to 70% discount?

Same happened to me just now. What exactly is "verified enterprise clients"? Seems really odd and fishy.

Same here.

I'd also like to highlight something quite interesting.
I've never opted into any promotions (NEVER) — in fact, I set my preferences to avoid them right from the start of my time on CGTrader. Yet somehow, about three weeks ago, I had the pleasure of discovering that my settings had magically changed, and two of my models were sold at a 20% and a whopping 50% discount (on 2025-04-24 & 2025-04-11).

Thankfully, I caught it before it got worse — and reset everything the moment I noticed the issue.
Of course, no notification about this change was properly sent to my email or shown clearly in the dashboard.

Now, why would I bring this up here, you ask?
Well, isn’t it just a fascinating coincidence, considering this whole “CGT-clients” situation?

Hope this won't turn into the "CGT-clients Gate"!

Just a little hint - only products marked as royalty free (with AI allowed by default) were sold. So I can guess what was the purpose of the buyers. If you guys don't want your work to be sold to "enterprise clients" just change the licensing to Royalty Free No AI.

Should CGTrader compensate us for our loss by paying us the full price of our products ?

Same here. They bought more than 100 of my models at quarter of the price! I didn’t receive any notification on the website, just an email. And the payment isn’t cleared yet.

The official answer from support =)

These purchases were made by one of our verified enterprise clients under a bulk licensing agreement. In such cases, discounts of up to 70% may apply depending on your account settings, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions (section 18.11). This is a standard process for enterprise buyers purchasing in volume.

Also, please note that these purchases were processed several days ago, but due to the way enterprise transactions are handled, they may only appear on your dashboard later. This is expected behavior.

Rest assured, the sales are legitimate and will be added to your overall sales volume. No action is needed on your side.

it happened to me last week too... before the models had the classic "To be Paid" voice and today they have changed to "Awaiting payment from buyer" we will see how the procedure will conclude.

So I asked if this will be paid 20 days like always (in my case the sales were on 13-5-2025) and support reply me this ,

Hi again,

Such bulk payments take longer to process than standard payments and we are currently waiting for payment from the client.

The funds should reach you by late June - we are currently estimating that the transactions will be sent on the 25th of June, but it may be earlier.

I have been in this site for almost 4 years and never happened this, I think this is an abuse for the Cgtrader team , why the status changed from to be paid to waiting for the client payment ?? Incredible now we need to wait almost 2 months to get the payment.. IF THEY WILL PAID , something that I think is a lie

Right now I’m thinking on leaving this website , this is beyond unfair in every single way

Absolutely agree. I’ve had the exact same situation — status changed from “To be paid” to “Awaiting payment from buyer” after I thought everything was confirmed. This system is not fair to creators. The fact that clients can download and delay or cancel payments puts us at serious risk. CGTrader needs to fix this.

I wouldn't be alarmed right away, since they will have agreements to evaluate all these purchases made in one day, let's see how it goes in the future, then each of us will evaluate whether it is advantageous or not.

Hello.
There is a 20-day waiting period.
It has to exceed 150 dollars.
Payment is made on Wednesday

Therefore, I estimate that payment will be made on June 4th.
There is still a long time left, I think payment will be received by then.

Yeah guys I 100% opted in to this and so did all of you. No complaining if you didn't take the time to read what you're signing. I signed the agreement AND picked my percentage to sell to enterprise clients. Look at the discounts YOU set before claiming you "got robbed".

STOLAS wrote

Yes, you should receive a payment. According to CGTrader, this normally takes about 20 days for the payment to process. But, on June 2nd, CGTrader is moving to a new payout rate system. Due to the changes, payments may be waiting until then, from what I've heard around the forums. I've been using CGTrader for a while, I trust them over the other platforms I use. I believe we will all receive our appropriate payment once it has been processed and if not, our models will be handled accordingly.

The same thing happened to me, CG trader are clearly purchasing models at an illegal and unagreed bulk discount to train an AI on and are screwing over their community to do it.
There should be a class action lawsuit from their customers considering how they are treating their user base and providers at the moment.
Turbosquid did the same thing last year but at least they paid full price.
