Buying model for Educational Purposes

It's nice to see someone asking this question instead of just sending a bunch of copies to all their students :D

I gave a talk at a school and, I noticed that all the kids had a copy of one of my books on their PC's. When I commented on how nice it was to see, the teacher told me that she had bought it off Amazon and then sent a copy to everyone haha! Having to explain how wrong that was without looking a £$%£$ is very awkward lol

The legal way to do this (without bothering the author) will be to buy the model multiple times (once for every student you plan to provide the model to) and explain to every one of them what they can, and can not do with the model they receive, according to the Royalty Free license.
The same applies to individuals who buy a model to include it in a project and are required to provide the scene files - they have to buy another license for their customer (who will have the model).

Are you asking about if there are educational discounts on purchased models? You can make an offer on any model with a price you feel is fair, and also leave a note as to why you're making that bid. I suppose that's one way to go about it.
