Payment Reversal - No Cardholder Authorization !!!!!

Same thing happened to me today. There have been dozens of complaints about this issue over the years, but there is still no improvement.

I think that asking customers for this information will reduce such frauds, just as the people who sell on cgtrader cannot sell without notifying cgtrader with all their identity information (including copy of identity and address information).

I'm not an expert in law and I don't think it's the first time this suggestion have been made, but I don't find it fair that the only person punished for this is the seller.

Me too brothers. Cgtrader should just cancel the ability for buyers to use any sort of card to make a purchase, but should rather make them pay via wire transfer which is irreversible and won't cause all these card refund nonsense. So pissed at both the criminals and cgtrader team.

Yup got the same exact issue, CGTrader really needs to do something about it!

Same problem....it was my highest earning by selling only models...and this happened.....little disappointed

I just experienced it, a refund of $ 269, with the reason "no card holder authorization"

"Payment reversal - no cardholder authorization". It's a user named "ryuugbuilder"

I am very sad and disappointed because I will use the money to pay for my sister's school entrance :(

I have the same today, the sale was on March 11 2020... Nickname of a buyer was "strange" something like johnsmith69 or so

You can't put blame on cgtrader for payment reversal, it's not their fault and there's absolutely nothing they can do about it. On the other hand, if there would be leak of your models without any payment, then that would be cgtrader's fault to not providing enough security to your files.

I think it's possible If the thief used the same stolen credit card for all purchases, the original card holder to have found out now that somebody is using his card and asked for refund.
As far as I know, when the original card holder asks for his money CGT is obliged to return them.

The guy took a lot of my models!! There is refund from a user that get my model in may/2019! How could that be?

Once again I was surprised by a $ 231 refund in my account, today my account is negative. I am being punished for a problem that is not mine. A complete lack of care of the Cgtrader site. It is not the first time, but today you lose me, I was faithful to Cgtrader, I only sold my projects on this platform but I see that it is not safe. Today you put in my account "Payment reversal - no cardholder authorization" since May/2019 purchases, we are in February 2020!

Anyone today enters Cgtrader, creates a fake account, steals our models... yes, steals our models, when we enter Cgtrader we expect security from the platform and we are still punished with reversal refund in our account. There is no control at all. In the platform should have more control when a user creates an account. Honestly it is very sad. From now on I will be using new platforms to sell my future models.

OBs.: Just looking at my sales I have already seen possible future problems with 2 users, just checking the latest sales. (Goodwin85 and Noobass). You will probably put these issues on my account later as well.

I have an analogical problem! The situation is already repeated for the third time!
Other sites have never had similar situations!

I'm not actually mad because of the payment fee...all I'm saying is that it's not just fair. at least we need some protection here . that's all I'm saying.

Yeah . I'm gonna contact them but I still think they wouldn't do anything and they're not gonna cover the payout fee's cause as we all know, it's not a fresh and new problem . many freelancers had this problem before me and the problem is still in here !

Yeah I hope CGT cover it or atleast find some solution to protect the freelancers 3D models . they can make sure about the payment first and then let the buyers download the models .

Can you elaborate - If you received money when the purchase was made, now the same amount is returned, right?
Losing your model to a thief is bad enough, but you shouldn't lose money.
