Real HDR - A Tool For Image-Based Lighting

Discussion started by Forester

This tutorial is in the form of a downloadable *.pdf document.

The tutorial can be found on this web site - but something has gone wrong with the way it appears.

(I had to create a special download link for it. All the pictures and the description are vanished.)

The tutorial might be more readily acceessible at Artstation Marketplace - go here Real HDR - A New Tool For Image-Based Lighting.

"Real" HDR is UNCLAMPED -- HDR. All that stuff available is with some exceptions from some eite photographs withing US just bosted LDR.
In terms of - real - dynamic range HDR, you can find "tutorials" on the web.... insertung there "Unclaped HDR".

It is difficult to understand this comment because of grammatical and spelling problems. But English is not my native language, either, so this is not a great problem. If I understand your intent, you are saying that Real HDR is unclamped. This is true. Am not sure of the significance of this point, except that you believe the application to be crap. If you are implying that I need to read a tutorial on the subject of HDR imaging so that I can better evaluate the Real HDR application, here is a tutorial that I wrote on the subject. Apologies, it is pretty much a comprehensive review - about 60 pages in length. ...... https://www.artstation.com/a/14509202 ........ Of course, clamped and unclamped HDR's are discussed in this document. ........... Real HDR is going to be useful for many people who have limited HDR facilities in their rendering application. Undoubtedly, the rendering application with the greatest, most extensive HDR capabilities is Maverick Render. Lighting and HDR facilities in Maverick are such that an application like Real HDR is not needed. However, those not able to purchase a subscription to Maverick Render Studio may find RealHDR to be a useful tool.

Addition:
+2EV that is going over the highlights right and left is not "HDR". It´s C.R.A.P.
