Your model has received a negative rating

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this topic before, but it doesn't seem that anything has changed.

Customers are leaving negative ratings on products. Yes, negative ratings are a part of doing business, but my issue is that customers are leaving the ratings without leaving any comments about WHY they're leaving a negative rating. So how does the seller know what's wrong with a product if the customer doesn't say anything?

And in most cases, the customer doesn't bother asking the seller for help- he simply leaves a negative rating and moves on.

Then the CGTrader e-mail notification recommends that the seller contact the customer to ask why the customer left the negative rating. I think that's backwards- the customer should contact the seller about the issue, then the seller should offer to correct the problem (or offer a refund), and then if the problem still isn't fixed, then the customer can leave a negative rating with an explanation about why.

That's definitely a good point. We'll try to take care of the mandatory comments in the very near future.

And it happened again: one of my products received a negative rating with no explanation. Again, this customer:
1) He didn't ask any questions before purchasing to make sure the model would meet his needs.
2) He didn't ask for any help after purchasing and he didn't tell me about any issues he was having.
3) He posted a negative rating without posting any kind of feedback, so I still don't know what issues he's having or why he gave the product a negative rating.

So I must once again ask the CGTrader staff to *not allow* any ratings unless the customer leaves a comment explaining *why* the product deserves the rating.

I got negative rating for some reasons unknown.
Of all the models i sold, as a seller i have 0 positive and 1 negative.
Great job on rating system

Pretty sure buyers were happy with their purchase, yet not one of them were reminded to leave any feedback about it or give any rating.

Please look at ebay. Items require feedback and buyer gets reminder to do so.

Hi Tonyf, All customers get reminders to leave ratings, we've also added comments for ratings. Some of the customers, however are more into feedback than others. Still, if your customers don't come to leave a comment on your models, I'd also encourage yourself to leave a message to some of your customers - I know some of the sellers are doing pretty good job on it.
