CGTrader taking 40% from new designers is insanely massive. On top of that, we’re charged again when transferring from Hyperwallet to our bank accounts.
For example, on a model priced at just $8, I only received $1.20 in my bank account after all the cuts. That’s an extremely huge reduction and honestly very discouraging for creators who put time, effort, and creativity into building quality 3D models.
The current structure feels unfair — both designers and buyers are affected. Designers lose a big part of their hard-earned sales, while buyers end up paying higher prices due to the added costs.
I believe commission rates and payout fees should be reconsidered. A more balanced system would help motivate new designers, improve marketplace trust, and ultimately benefit the CGTrader community as a whole.
