Why is my model not selling?

Discussion started by lxrdkari

The details and overall model is good. Not only I think its pretty cheap compared to what I see these type of models sell for and I think for a good handful of them my model is overall better but a lower price. I've been a 3d modeler for a good while now but i'm new to the whole online 3d model sale thing. So whats wrong?

Looks like he got his first sale, congrats.

I personally don't think this is a good sales tactic, even this model with no textures is severely under-priced, considering everything is done with geometry.

You also have some competition for this type of content so keep in mind that will reduce your chances as well. Outline where you differentiate and indeed make it look as good as it can possibly be, view-port screenshots not going to cut it, your basically selling stuff via images here but having detailed description about what people get is evenly important. This can sell but indeed not expect multiple times per month.

1. Presentation- no texture seems to be applied to your model; the render is of a low resolution; your images don't show the tavern in all angles; there is no wireframe.

2. time- I see you just published this yesterday, I don't know what your expectation is, but even the best models would be lucky to sell more than once or twice per month.

You should provide some renders with materials, since right now it looks very bare without any clean renders. The customers need to have an overall image of your product. Hope this helps.
