I got only few sales. Now I reduced all my model prices by a lot. Should I focus more on improving models, or can I make some good money from the models I already have in my profile? I am thinking of making a game out of them, but is there another easier way by selling just these models? I have improved my skills now, and soon will make more and better 3d models. But I definitely deserve few good sales right ?? Thats what I think correct me if I am wrong. I am also thinking of giving all my 3d models for free as well if I don't get sales now that I have reduced prices. And upload all my 3d models to blendswap.

there is a lot of good ways to increase your sales one of the ways i love is a landing page it's definitely the best and the strongest way to increase your sales and convert your visitors to sale (1 visitor = 1 sale) you can make a really easy landing page by your own its super easy and its not two expensive i like to use Max Funnels they have a really easy and good software for Creating Unlimited, Lightning FAST & Converting Funnels & Pages if you want to see more check there page https://jvz4.com/c/1348019/339349
Hi there,
stereomanik has a good point. Don't drop your prices, it doesn't help you (you'll need more sales to earn a certain amount of money) and it hurts other creators too, as they will drop their prices too and this leads to a downward spiral. In the end, all quality content which you invested hours and days, will mean and earn close to nothing. You can always choose a different marketplace, but then you have to invest more time to promote and manage double amount (this is the trap I fell into, I uploaded my stuff on 4 different sites and whenever I make an update, I usually refresh only on those that are generating income).
So my advice on this would be:
- Quality over quantity. Improve your models and present them in a professional way (think of furniture magazines like Ikea).
- Fair pricing.
- If you can, create a high-quality promotional scene and make a hi-res walkthrough video, upload to Youtube. Include the scene into the package you sell! This will help customers see how they should use your models. You will need to learn a lot of new stuff for this (composition, light etc) but trust me, it's worth it.
- Always have a backup plan. Consider freelancing (this requires a good portfolio!).
- Use embedded real-time renderers like Marmoset viewer and Sketchfab. This helps the customer view your models from all angles, view wireframe topology, texture maps, etc.
I hope I could give you a few ideas.
Most of your models belong to furniture field, a crowded field, if there is any, so you have a lot of competitors, to low the price doesn´t talk in your favor, it makes you to appear cheap, and people wants to buy quality models at a reasonable price, most of them don´t care about the price but about the quality.
By the way, I don ´t thin k you get better sales at any other platform, if so, you would sell here too.
If I can advise you, your exterior models, forests ,snowfields, and so on are a better choose than furniture, at least you have the chance to create something good doing what you seem to like, there is also good competitors in this field but given that you need to improve your skills, better do it in the field you feel more at ease.
Hope this helps
