Preview images

Discussion started by jaguarbeastproduction

Hi there,

Take a look at this:

Quite a lot of newbies (however, and not only) have unique large skills and experience in about section. Doesn't this experience allow to make at least 2-3 quality renders of your own models?

I think this section https://help.cgtrader.com/en/articles/1497944-how... should be supplements with a list of recommends for preview images.

Thanks for attention.

It's way more impressive to see an image in the forum section!
It's the first time I see such :D
Is that ancient bug fixed or there is a new bug that overrides the old one?

And you are right of course - there is a lot of crap on the site.

Uploading images only works through a link from images hosts. Apparently few user used this option.

Yeah, if you host the image at an online image host, then you can link to it in the forums, but uploaded images just disappear, and I can't seem to get embedded video working either.

I didn't want to open new topic, It seams that they are succided in destroying model preview images, for me those are now blurry and crap (2-3 days ago preview images were ok). I have done a comprison between preview images here and original renders and the difference is huge. Thank you CGT.

May need to experiments with editor save images settings. Don't blame CGT. Almost any marketplaces converts images. This is absolute normal.

Read post before comment, I said 3 days ago images were ok.

I did not see any extremely horror changes. Everything is quite well even now. I don't know, maybe it another site "update". In any case, you shouldn't worry, I'm sure your models will be bought and with this destroying images.

Something that is not horror for you doesn't mean that it isn't for somebody else. I wouldn't be so sure like you that models will sell regardless of preview images quality. Site update.. Yes there are site updates every once in a while, usualy during sales periods. Who know, he will understands.

In any case, let's hope the quality will not get worse and, if possible, will return to the previous level.
