And we have a real example with a real case. Customer have simply rendered our models, majority on a flat color background. They were definitely not used as a part of media project. We are of course not ok and reported this, resulting in videos removed from shutterstock.
Owner has came to us and we are in a process of resolving the situation.
However we have received an ultimative statement from CGTrader that customer have the rights to sell model on stock in any form. More interestingly it ends with
"This is not a case that allows room for disputes - if you want to control future use of the items, upload them under a custom license instead."
No plans to dispute the case with them as requested, so we stopped all publishing and are updating 650 products to custom license, as of course we don't allow reselling of simple renders of our models (70-100% of composition our work) on any stock.
