If you're planning on making a career of this, I'd rethink that idea. There are thousand upon thousands of artists out there that are all fighting for a piece of the action. If you want to make a few dollars on the side doing this as a hobby, then 3D skills are nice to learn, but for the amount of time you have to invest to learn the software and skills, you can do a number of other things that can make you more money. There is also an AI threat looming, that possibly has the ability to put countless artists out of a job. No use in investing energy into a career that may not exist in a few years. This wouldn't be the first time that a career has been replaced by a computer or automation.
