I'd really like to hear from people who have been selling on CGTrader for a while.
I know there's no universal answer, but I'm hoping to learn from real experiences rather than guesses.
A few questions:
1. Around which uploaded model did you make your first sale?
2. How many models did you have before sales became somewhat regular (if they ever did)?
3. In your experience, how much does the size of your portfolio affect views and sales? Did you notice your traffic increasing as your portfolio grew, or does each model mostly perform on its own?
4. What turned out to matter the most: the number of models, quality, asset packs, choosing the right niche, or something else?
5. If you were starting from scratch today, what strategy would you follow?
I'm not looking for a magic formula—I know everyone has a different experience. I'm simply trying to understand what actually happened to other sellers and whether there are any patterns worth learning from.
