Does the level of the profile play a role for the good sale of the models?

Discussion started by magicboxstudio

Hello dear colleagues,

I have uploaded 90 models and sales are almost non-existent.
So, my question: Does also the level of the profile play a role for the good sale of the models?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hello there,

No, reputation level doesn't increase sales.

It is necessary to create such models so that the level of reputation increases through sales, and not just by increasing the quantity.

With furniture models (despite the fact that your models are great) it is very difficult to implement.

For really high level sales, you need to choose other niches.

Best regards.

In my opinion of course it is quite difficult to switch from modeling cauldrons and chairs to creating anatomically correct animal models or sci-fi concepts in Vitaly Bulgarov style, so try modeling and uploading sets of furniture, kitchenware, etc.

If all your models will be separated into catalogs (Office chairs vol.1-vol.3 or Home Plants vol.1-vol.4, as the simple examples) the chances of their buying will increase.

I think there is just an abundance of furniture models on this site and perhaps there is not a great demand for them. Your designs are great and prices are fair, and I do think it's unusual that you haven't sold at least one. Perhaps try modelling something different and see how that goes.

Noting can help you sell something in oversupplied categories unless you trow 500 models in a pack and sell it for 10 dollars.

!!The architectural category is astronomically oversupplied!!

Markets get driven by demand and supply, when supply astronomically surpass demand then prices fall to absolute low. Revers, when there is demand for something but supply is short then prices go up and things get sold to highest bidders.

There is lots of demand for 3D content but most people here don't make it and instead keep making the stuff that is already oversupplied.

There is a good analytic tool here to get insight in what people search for and how overpopulated or underpopulated a given category is.

Keep in mind the level of profile has no effect on whether or not a given item is going to sell, the CGtrader algorithms are fine tuned to introduce new models to target viewers and measure performance, if a model get views but no sales then the algorithms will prioritize on models that do sell and then the ones that do not fall further and further down the line to land in place according to its performance.
