Software for normal mapping

Hi everyone. I am in search for a good "normal mapping" software. Which software do you prefer for this. Please don't recommend crazybump and similar. Because I want to paint it myself not automatically.

Quixel Suite is quite nice, but you'd need Photoshop for that as well as it's a "tag on" program. For complete stand alone app Substance Painter is nice.

I like Substance Painter too but this software slow down my computer too much. Is Quixel Suite heavy as Substance?
