If any offer, especially through email, sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I had the same email yesterday. CGT obviously deleted it.
Whats with all the spammy project offers? Had about six or seven 'botty' projects offer to me last 2 days! Anyone else experiencing it? I'm guessing its someone up to no good!

Hi.
I have a similar situation. Yesterday I received a private request "Our company is looking for partners to work on an ambitious project." $4000
A strange description, without a specific task and reference pictures, only they attached a blend file as an example of the work they want to receive
I was saved by the fact that when opening the blender file there was a warning about a python script that could do harm, I launched the file without turning on the script, there was only a chair (although they asked for a character project)
Be careful if you have automatic script loading configured in your blender!!!
In general, I'm not 100% sure that there is malicious code there. If someone knows how to safely check the blender file and the script in it, I would be interested in what kind of script is there and what to be wary of.
I just received a notification through email about another scam offer, but when I checked my messages here, it was gone. It looks like CGT is doing something about it, but having some difficulty in preventing these new accounts from sending these scam offers.
I clicked on the link they sent, and another panel popped up. I immediately clicked "OK," and I lost all the passwords in "Google Password Manager." Unfortunately, my antivirus was turned off. They accessed all the cryptocurrency platforms where I stored my funds. Luckily, I changed the passwords before they could transfer anything.
Which accounts I use 2-factor security, he can't get in even with the password.
I reported this issue to the CGtrade website support team right after clicking on the malicious link. The next day, they said they would try to prevent this issue from happening again. However, yesterday, someone else sent me a private project with identical content. It is one person but using multiple accounts.
I wanted to warn everyone about those scam attempts yesterday, but my message was instantly reported, not sure what to think about that. Anyway, i contacted the support and they said they're working to fix the situation.
Yeah I just got my first one from a Stacy Fox of Dreampoint Studios subcontracting for Respawn Entertainment. Funny thing is, it probably should've given me a virus for all the attempts I've made trying to open the thing. Dunno if uBlock is catching it or if my scriptblocker is, it just redirects me to example.com. Running a scan with Defender regardless.
You can always uncheck the box in settings that says "Allow buyers to send me custom 3D Job requests".
I also received a message yesterday, stating that a big company was interested in me after seeing my profile. They asked me to download a file from a very suspicious link, I am 100% sure that it contains some sort of virus... This is the first time that has happened to me
