Thanks a lot for your detailed answer.
I look other products before I price mine but market always makes me feel like people are selling their models at low prices. I work hard to create my models and when I put them for like 3 or 10 dollars I feel kinda sad. Am I struggling at designing so I see my works so valuable or people are sellng their models at really low prices? What do you think and what should I do ? Ps: I have no sales yet :(
Thanks a lot for your detailed answer.
Hello,
Don't get discouraged i started selling 2 months ago and i have already made 104 bucks.
U can make a lot too!
I hope u will get succesful!
same. I have uploaded my first model few days ago and I'm wondering WHY MY BEAUTIFUL YELLOW CHAIR ISN'T SOLD YET?!
haha. talking seriously, you have just created account.. give it some time. wish you luck! :)
Working towards your goals and getting better at something takes time and effort but it should make you feel better.
I wouldn't worry to mush about what someone ells is doing (like giving work away for free, etc.), just work towards your own goals.
You probably should lower some expectations and do the things you do because you want to do them. Don’t expect instant results or big money returns because then you might get disappointed and lose motivation to continue improving. Try to get up to level before you trow yourself into the arena.
Maybe set smaller goals first and work towards getting some results on those?
Motivation dissipates when energy has no effects so use your energy to get to tangible results.
You can set your goals all the way up there but you have to respect the process otherwise you gonna keep hitting walls.
Well Bud,
You just recently opened your account and you have seven models. Research suggests you should have a minimum of around 30-50 models when you first open for business.
I have 31 models that I uploaded over the course of a year and a half and average two sales per month.
Some of my models have sold several times so it may seem like 5 dollars is low for a thing but if you sell it 10 time it is 50 bucks. since I started I've made a grand total of 120 bucks (1.5 yrs) and I think since I should have twice as many models up by now, that I'm actually doing pretty good.
Most of my models are low priced because that is what they are worth in this market. If I want to charge more I have to work harder making more complex and interesting or more useful models.
You can find hundreds of oil barrels and shipping containers for free.
You have to be patient because there are thousands of modelers here and on other sites to compete with that know their craft. It can be done with hard work and dedication.
I would suggest also spending time doing research. There are many tutorials on youtube on how to be successful selling models. I found it very useful to go through every page of every model category that interested me here on cgt to see what models are here, what the pricing, quality is like.
You find a model from someone with lots of models, lots of likes and lots of positive reviews. Look at the wire frames and texture sets etc.
