How can a Item go to trending by just only 6 views? how this algorithym works. do Cgtraders staff personally promote some items?

All trending models are new so number of views can't be a big factor.
Apparently they do give an internal rating "we do our best to give every model an internal CGTrader rating, which plays an important role in product listing".
Also if someone buys it soon after publishing it will boost it in the trending models.
In the past I though big factor was rating on the "Community ratings" page but this page doesn't work for several months, at least for me.
Not true. Once my model was choosen as "trending" (if I'm not wrong it was spring 2019). And this model wasn't new, hasn't many views or likes, hasn't many views all this years, never was sold, hasn't feedbacks... I uploaded it in 2015. So really I don't believe in marketing shit described on link you posted.
And one more nuance: I'm suspecting that CGT mods knows lot more. Because Judita commented immediately without any information but just provided support's e-mail. It looks very unclear. And it's not looks polite or fair.

I believe the "internal rating" is nothing more than designers rank. It surely can't be that someone in cgtrader rates individual models - they have no human resources for that. That means, if your rank is high, your new models will always appears high in trending models list, no matter how shitty or unpopuliar they actually are. IMO, that list is greatly flawed, like almost everything on cgtrader.
you are right about no Human Resources. But i think Rank has nothing to do with it. Because some people doesn't even have 20 models but their models go on trending. but their quality is really good. So there is someone or something Spectate the Work Quality and use it accordingly. i like it TBH. designer doesn't need to uploade 1k+ models just to have the rank. Its Good and Equal Justice. you want rank? improve your quality
Yes, you're probably right LemonadeCG.
It even not depend on rating. When one my model accidentally was "trending" few days I don't had "beautiful" rating number etc... and I don't asked nobody from CGT about promotion. It was just once. Before and after this case none of my models was chosen as trending. But I'm agree about flaws of CGT (BUT!!! rivaling resources like 3dexport and turbosquirt are much much worse, so in this world CGT is the better choice).
