fbx verification texture

Discussion started by bripocubes

I'm so confused, I tried the add on Kodama to verify all these, but it freezes my computer and I read this happens to a lot of people so I guess I can't use that to verify my models, so these are the questiosn:
I'm new to this and I looked for the information but I can't find an answer, maybe somebody can explain.
I uploaded 4 models, in the verification all of them say they are missing the texture, is there a way CGtrader tells me what exactly is going on, and how can I fix this? I made my models in Blender and exported the FBX, when I import them to Blender again they seem good, also tried importing to 3d Viewer and I see the textures, so I'm confused, how you people deal with this?
second question: once I fix it, do I need to delete the post and upload them again? or just upload the fixed files and eventually my verification will go up?

You can't fix it, cgtrader's verification system is fundamentally broken. Your model might be perfect, but the system will assign random score to it and you can't do anything about it. Try to bombard cgtrader support with reports about wrong score. The more people will complain, the more chances that they eventually try to fix it. Although realistically i wouldn't hold my breath on that happening anytime soon - cgtrader is known for throwing new, untested and not working features and leaving them rot, never bothering to fix the stuff.

Yep have to agree, ive updated some models with the latest requirements for Kodama and they are not updated for weeks now... I guess its another thing that just doesnt work. I totally give up with these 'requirements' and 'changes'. I feel I have enough experience these days to know what people need and dont care about CGTs 'new' systems as they are obsolete within a few months and never maintained. Ive also complained to support about some of the requirements as I believe they are not relevant to the 'average user' and have been told its basically how it is, put up with it.
