Fair use project

Discussion started by audriusfotoclass

Hello everyone,

I want to know if you stylize and alter or only take just a part of someone's project, is it considered as a fair use and you don't need to pay for original author?

Ask the author.

Whether you need to pay to author depends from license of asset in question. Same goes for modifications - it's defined by the license and has nothing to do with fair use.

A lot of people don't understand fair use and propagate false information on the internet. It's best to go to a reputable website that can explain the rules.

You always need to ask the author, you will be sure then.
