Because that part is completed, but you never get paid for that part alone. You only get paid after completing the entire project.

Hey can I just skip child task SM. It seem like $6 for a difficult and time consuming work is not worth to do.

I found that out the hard way a couple months ago, did a chair that was completed, it's a really curvy chair, did the first three LODs (0,1,2) after that I decided to skip the last 2 because they're quite impossible, from 100k to 5k poly on curved model (curves won't stay curves if I start deleting geometry... moreover, the last 2 LODs are required to be done manually, WITHOUT changing the UVs from the original higher poly, for 5$. That's a several hours job... Anyways, note for future readers, avoid tasks that have LODs, they're very problematic and you don't get paid even if you do 4/5 of the tasks. Not only is it not fair, it's also disrespectful and quite a shady practice.
