They're simply hinting to us: “We're no longer interested in regular sellers. Now we need to grow our subscribers and corporate client base”. Creativity shouldn't be limited. I hope this platform suffers huge losses.

They keep messing around. How many times have I emailed them and told them? It's their developers' fault. It's their system's fault. Now a bunch of my models have been suspended again. They've supposedly put up an appeals button. I'm dealing with that one by one. They've suspended my donkey model. Isn't that funny?

I just had a model of a WOODEN BARREL that I uploaded four years ago get tagged for "Adult Content" - this is madness!

And they're doing it again. All those models that were falsely identified and suspended as adult content, they were later restored and today they all are suspended again. What's adult in chandelier or toilet model may i ask? For f@#k sake cgtrader, get your act together, this level of ai slop in marketplace management is unacceptable.

Lately, almost every notification I receive is no longer about a sale, but about another model being rejected or suspended.

I’m not even bothering to re-upload them or ask CGTrader for explanations. It’s become absurd.

Some of these models have generated over $2,500–$2,700 in sales and have been used by well-known companies, even featured by resin brands for promotional purposes. One of my top-selling models, used in a major resin showcase, was suspended as well.

It feels like the platform simply doesn’t want my work anymore. That’s fine :)

Thank you for the cooperation.

This whole situation could have been handled a lot smarter if they would let to run that AI check to internally mark the models for inspection, then just let human moderators go through queue and suspend only the models that are indeed does not fit the "new standards" anymore. No disruption to the marketplace, no damaging people's business, no alienating loyal user base. Instead they chose to do brake the wall by banging it with their heads, like they always do. That's incompetence on the highest level.

The message repeatedly delivered by industry experts across the board was clear: AI can be deployed for various tasks, but under human control, if left alone, it still isn't capable of precise work; this is one example. Perhaps someone thought of selling 3D models at a price per kilogram, like tomatoes at the supermarket, and using more automation to be aggressive with costs... but evidently it's a precarious model, at least for the developers, and, in the long run, I think, also for the company itself.

wtf is happening i have been in this site for years none of my models brake the rules and bam 20 good models suspended

My content has been suspended again in a ridiculous way, and quite a lot of it. I emailed support but I have no hope. If this continues, there won't be any models left to sell and I'll withdraw. They've completely lost their minds.

It's not only you.

Between the decline in website UX, the increased complexity in the payout system, the "what have you done for me lately?" changes to the royalty scale, and now AI moderation, CGTrader has clearly changed their business model to one that is not mutually beneficial to the artists who (pre-AI) generated ALL of their sellable content.

They've hitched their cart to another horse, and we're all waiting on the side of the road hoping they come back for us.

Narrator: They won't.

Today they removed several of my models, even though they have absolutely nothing to do with adult content — just well-made, aesthetic models that took me a lot of time to create.

I’m not even going to bother restoring them. I’ve already started moving away from the platform. At this point, I’m only keeping it for custom work from a few old clients and as a portfolio for whatever remains there.

From what I understand, most of my models apparently “don’t fit” their standards anymore. I don’t know what’s going on, or if they’re trying to push creators into subscription mode, but that’s not happening in my case.

So it struck me too, today bunch of my models were suspended, despite the fact that i have (and never had) no models that could be remotely considered as adult content. Support is not responding. Looks like everybody were laid off and replaced by AI agents here. What a shitshow.

My original animal models are being suspended now. Previously, only some of my human models were suspended. We didn't received a clear explanation or warning. Are there any specific criteria,

I completely agree with you, comrade. I've also had many models suspended by Cgtrader in recent months. Models that for years were great sources of profit. Now I'm actively considering abandoning the platform. My new models since 2025 are no longer implemented on Cgtrader. We're treated like garbage.

Some models are reactivated with the adult content preview... others are awaiting review.. others I deleted because they were not awaiting review and permanent suspension.... this is the situation for now

They suspended various of my models too.
Some were anthropomorphic female characters, fully clothed, in standard A-Pose. Pretty much just Basemeshes. The only possible issue I can see is that in some of the preview images the characters were without clothes in order to show the anatomy. But even then I included black bars to censor the "private parts" (which don't event exist, since they are just smooth surfaces).

I also got a realistic female basemesh suspended. Also in a neutral A-pose, with smooth/non-existing private parts.

However the nude male basemesh is not suspended, what a double standard!

What bothers me the most is that I see in the store a lot of models that clearly contain nudity, and have an "erotic" nature, and they are not suspended.
Just because the model is clothed in the preview images doesn't mean they don't contain nudity.
People just simply open the file and turn off the clothes layer. This is so stupid.

As far I can see, CGtrader allows pornography as long as the model is clothed in the preview images.

Meanwhile, respectful basemeshes and artistic resources get banned.

CGtrader is so bad now, and the sales are declining so much, that I won't even bother contacting support about this.

I've had quite a few models suspended, but what really blew my mind was that among them were Michelangelo's 'Adam and Eve' and the Athena from the Pergamon Altar's Titanomachy. At this point, it's honestly becoming laughable

6-7 more of my models have been suspended. The tombstone model and the woman's head in a flowerpot model. The model without nudity was also suspended. This is absolutely outrageous. CGtrader has messed up.

CGTrader has been going downhill for me since 2025. After working hard for 7 years to maximize my royalty points, now both my sales rate and sales volume have dropped. I can't believe my sales have returned to where they were when I started in 7 years. Furthermore, some of my models were removed due to adult content. Some of my car and motorcycle brand logos were also removed. When I contacted them, they said competition had increased and sales were good. That's not the case for us. If CGTrader continues like this, I will withdraw completely.

cant check the tags on my models as you cant open suspended models and forbidden from editing them, you can only delete them

This may be the part that makes the least sense. If CGTrader is going to "suspend" a model based on some AI moderation, you'd think it makes good business sense to at least give artists an opportunity to make changes to appease the AI overlords, and to make it sellable. But no... CGTrader saw that bridge and said, "Flame on!"

At this point the option "This item contains violence, nudity or sexual content" should be eliminated. Because if the AI does not consider it, it is useless to publish contents that respect that option.

Try checking the tags of the models affected by the block. Most likely, there was something like "nude" or similar, which immediately defines the model as "mature". You need to keep a close eye on the tags because of this. Personally, I've only been affected by really "mature" models. It might be worth checking the description for similar words.

Yes, the management of the platform is gradually dragging her into the abyss. They also forcibly added models to their subscription, without my consent...

UPD - I discovered another unpleasant moment. Apart from the fact that mature models were blocked, one was deleted altogether, I don't see her in my personal account. She was definitely "mature", she was definitely removed from publication first, and the other day she completely disappeared from her personal account. Perhaps the fact is that it was posted recently and no one had time to buy it, but the model has completely disappeared from the site.

I have been here for years, but now I am stepping away. I have cooperated in every way I could, but my journey here ends now. Out of my 55 female 3D models, 42 were suspended overnight due to sudden retroactive policy changes. This completely disregards years of hard work. It feels less like moderation and more like disrespect towards the creators who helped build this platform. A filtering feature that should have been implemented at launch is being brutally enforced decades later at our expense. I am grateful for the opportunities this platform gave me in the past, but I cannot support the path it's walking on now.

Yeah. a very bland medical model of a female uterus was banned. Ridiculous. Very disappointed with the way this site is being run. I keep trying to improve sales by uploading new models, but I can't keep up with the rate of decline in sales. just about given up with trying to make any pocket money here.

No need to leave. Just let it wither. If it's still generating at least some income for you, keep it. But don't put any more time or effort into it. Find another marketplace, and let CGTrader slowly follow the AI succubus into oblivion.

This platform is dying. Today, they deleted a model of mine that didn’t even contain nudity. Why did I promote this platform on social media and bring new users here? Now I’m going to boycott CGTrader—as far as I’m concerned, it no longer exists. Support didn’t even try to help me; they just sent a boilerplate response. They’ve declared war on the very people who’ve been supporting them all these years.

I’ve noticed that models are being automatically removed once they are marked as mature content, regardless of whether they actually contain such content or not. I also had a few models that were accidentally marked as mature content, and they were removed as well.

Same thing for me... and another model suspended... after the cgtrader staff and I mutually agreed to obscure some parts of the breasts of an artistic statue and put it as adult content... suspended that one too... no problem... uploaded to another site if they are not capable of respecting the agreements made
