FlatPyramid

Discussion started by loui

I am new to 3D printing, I would like to find an opportunity to create something like this - https://www.flatpyramid.com/3d-models/science-and-technology-3d-models/cryptex-rusty/

If to be honest, I do not know how to start and what to start with. I would like to know as much as possible about the creation process. At resource, I pointed before, you can buy already made layout and work on it. What services and programs can be used I want to know too.

Hmmm I think you would start from a cylinder with symetry enabled (so the left and right parts are the same size) and you just start extruding/inner extruding all the way long , then you select the polygons and apply the wanted texture and to finish you bake the object and texture (I'm on C4D)
