123d catch Does anyone have this free software and know how to use it?

Discussion started by miaomiao3d

Does anyone know how to use 123d catch? It is a free 3d software that requires 64 bit pc or laptop which I do not have.

I am able to make pretty good photos for the scan but need help uploading it to Autodesk cloud by someone with a proper pc.

Hi! I was wondering if you wanted to try making a scan of this model
using my vids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaDzmFS7DJk Fist of the
north star character model.

Can't help you out directly because I'm still on windows 7 64bit, minimal systems requirements for the windows app is windows 8.1 64bit.

However, you may want to check out this link (http://rogue.cs.ucsb.edu/PhotoModel3D/webUpload.html) and see if you can get some results from it? Read the FAQ page for image resolutions/restrictions and so on. All other solutions mostly cost lots of money.

If you are somewhat of a tinkerer you may also want to try out this one?

Hope it can be of any use?

You can try Autodesk Remake (formerly known as Memento) - another cloud based photogrametry app.

As for your video, i wouldn't bother even to try to get something decent from it. That almost certainly would fail. You can't rotate scanned model, unless you 100% know what you're doing and you never ever want to bump, shake or disturb it in any way.

Autodesk remake does not work either because my PC is prehistoric... Thanks for the tips on the video taking for the scanning.

I will make sure not to have any bumps etc... when I make the proper one.
