I know what you mean but what this shows is how low buyers value our work. They feel 3D art means almost nothing. If you think about it they valued each of your models around 4 dollars... including rendering and texturing. There is no guarantee you will sell them on CGtrader unless someone out there has a similar project they need them for...

All I can say here is making a living as a 3D modeler has become impossible. I used to take those 20 bucks wherever I could in the past as a side job but in the end it never amounts to much... unless that company or buyer already has a second project for you.

How long did it take you to build one of those models?

I agree with you, i had to take off my free models because nobody bought anything, unless is free or cheap... for this work was a fixed price for each ship, not 20 for all, but i put much time as i tough i could sell them too, but still no sells. i think was about 5-9h per ship...

Exactly my point! Those are lots of work hours and considering how difficult what we do is I don't think that is right. If you think about it people working at the Apple store get paid around 15 dollars per hour so after 9 hours of work they collect 135 dollars. I just think working in 3D as an artist is a bit of a scam and buyers as well as art companies are taking advantage of us... Big time!!!

Yeah is not a good situation for us as artists, but in my country i would get like 5usd... per day... in a common work, so i still get better treats online
