Low-polygon Walther P88 Compact 9mm pistol, ready for use in CGI, video game, and CAD applications. Modeled in Autodesk Inventor and Carrara Studio and provided in multiple solid-based and surface-based file formats.

The Walther P88 Compact is a high-quality pistol produced in Germany, considered by some to be the best 9mm ever designed. Originally intended for law enforcement and military use, the weapon is reliable, accurate, and lightweight. It features a single/double-action mechanism and a high-capacity, double-stack magazine. Safety lever and magazine release button are ambidextrous to accommodate right-handed and left-handed shooters. Though now discontinued by the manufacturer, the P88 Compact is still highly prized among collectors and sport shooters.

All moving components are modeled as separate objects, allowing them to be easily rigged and animated. Objects include 9x19mm parabellum cartridge, barrel, disassembly lever, drawbar, firing pin, grips, hammer, magazine follower, magazine release button, magazine tube, receiver, recoil guide, safety lever, slide, slide lock lever, and trigger.

Model is provided in six positional representations - base representation, safety on, hammer cocked, trigger pulled, recoil, and slide locked open. Magazine is provided in two representations - full (14 rounds, double-stacked) and empty.

Native Autodesk Inventor 2012 files include additional detail (slide serrations, barrel rifling, small edge radii and fillets, etc.) and are provided with intact browser trees and parameter tables to allow full configurability and customization. Inventor assembly includes the six positional representations listed above.

Model specifications:

  • Dimensions: 7.21 x 1.30 x 5.20 in

  • Objects: 19

  • Facets (pistol, unloaded): 3,550

  • Facets (magazine, unloaded): 561

  • Facets (9mm cartridge): 282

  • Textures: 19
