HMS Inflexible was one of the most radical and heavily armored warships of the Victorian era, designed to dominate the seas with enormous 16-inch guns, unprecedented armor protection, and an unmistakable silhouette. Built for the Royal Navy during the great ironclad arms race of the late 19th century, she became famous for her massive central citadel and powerful turret armament. Our highly detailed 3D printable model faithfully recreates this legendary ironclad in approximately 1:105 scale, producing an impressive completed model over 1 meter in length. The design captures the unique hull form, armored turrets, deck structures, funnels, fighting tops, and distinctive appearance of the original ship while remaining fully practical for home 3D printing and RC conversion. The package now includes a fully RC-ready internal layout with DC motor mounts, servo mounting provisions, articulated rudder components, and two different propeller sets — one historically accurate and another optimized for improved RC performance and maneuverability.

3D printing settingsThe complete package contains 93 STL files together with a full-color 3MF version for modern multicolor printing systems. Hull sections are engineered with integrated lip-and-groove alignment details, greatly simplifying assembly while improving structural rigidity and alignment accuracy across the large hull. The model is optimized primarily for FDM printers, although many smaller details may also be resin printed for additional sharpness. PLA works very well for most builders, while PETG is recommended for heavier RC usage and larger structural parts. Moderate infill and thicker wall settings are recommended for hull strength, especially for operational RC builds. We recommend dry-fitting the major hull sections before final gluing and lightly sanding mating surfaces for the cleanest results. The finished model becomes an exceptionally large and visually striking centerpiece suitable for collectors, naval enthusiasts, maritime historians, and RC warship hobbyists alike.
