Bourbon Arctic and Horizon Arctic are state-of-the-art AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessels designed to operate in some of the world’s harshest offshore environments. Operated by Norway-based Bourbon Offshore, Bourbon Arctic entered service in 2016 and is notable for its ability to perform in Arctic and ice-covered waters, offering exceptional towing power, high maneuverability, and an environmentally friendly design. Similarly, Horizon Arctic, delivered in 2016 and operated by Canada’s Horizon Maritime, specializes in deepwater support operations, including subsea surveys, ROV missions, and heavy load handling. Both vessels meet modern safety standards, emphasize environmental sustainability, and provide versatile operational capabilities, making them essential assets for the offshore energy sector as well as emergency response missions.

3D printing settingsBring modern offshore engineering to your workshop with this 1-meter-long 3D-printable model of the Arctic Class of ships, meticulously prepared as an STL file package. The model is RC-Ready with motor mounting plates, servo frame, modified and iproved propeller shaft details. The kit is divided into over 130 high-resolution, easy-to-print parts, ensuring a smooth and rewarding build experience. The files are organized in a folder structure to simplify printing and assembly. Full color 3mf file format is also included in the pack.
Model's hollow interior with a typical hull thickness of 4–6 mm allows for strength, lightweight handling, and the option to install RC components, transforming it into a fully functional remote-controlled vessel. Whether displayed as a detailed scale model or brought to life on the water, this project is a unique tribute to one of the world’s most advanced Arctic offshore supply and anchor handling ships.

Recently an additional optional hull file set with 16 parts has been included with the model. If your 3D printing material has lower adhesive strength, you may prefer using this version. It contains the lower three levels of the hull (excluding the bulbous bow) and features enhanced screw-bolt insertion details for stronger mechanical assembly. If your material bonds well with adhesives, you can instead use the standard hull sections, which have bolt insertion points only at the bottom level.
