Anet AM8 Electronics Undercarriage

Anet AM8 Electronics Undercarriage 3D print model

Description

This is my electronics undercarriage that takes all the electronics and wiring from being visible, and moves it all out of sight, under the printer, in the dead space within the frame belly.

NOTE: This was designed to work specifically with the frame from RatRig. I cannot guarantee that it will work with another manufacturer. Make sure you do the proper research before buying this! I bought the 364mm rails (longer Y axis), but this SHOULD work with the smaller 340mm rails as well (close to the Y axis motor, but should still fit with about 10mm of clearance)

It should be known that this will require a LOT of work to install, and you MUST have the right corner brackets on your frame for this to work. Tolerances are VERY tight (on purpose). I have a tub full of old laptop screws that I picked through and used various ones. I really don't know what size they were. The carriage is held agaist the frame using M5x6 bolts with hammerhead nuts (so that it can be removed without taking the frame apart. Also, be aware this will ONLY work with the LRS-350-12 PSU by MeanWell.

Features:

  • Anet v1.0 or 1.5 mainboard mount
  • Raspberry Pi mount (I use the 3B+)
  • Adjustable voltage buck converter mount
  • Dual MOSFET mounts (hotend, heatbed)
  • MeanWell PSU mount (specifically the LRS-350-12)
  • Cable management attachment rings
  • Wire routing managment holes
