Cant get a reply from any cg trader employees or customer service

Discussion started by jcarney1995

so I'm trying to delete some old models of mine, I like to think the quality of my work has improved and to be honest I'm not comfortable with a lot of that old work being tied to my name. Now I signed up for the analytics programme so I understood I would lose my ability to delete them but that was way over a year ago, actually two years ago and from what I understand that should mean I can delete them now. I've contacted customer service through email, two employee accounts and haven't had a reply in 3 days, I got so frustrated I tried to delete my account but I can't even do that without customer service

Anyone any advice ?

I don't have any advice as far as contacting CGT, but unless you have a legal reason to remove them, I would leave the old models up. I started selling here several years ago. I think my oldest model here is probably from 2013 or 2014, and I still get sales on those once in a while. As you've suggested, the quality of our work has improved greatly over the years, and our newer models will always be much better quality than the older ones. Maybe you can just lower the price of those older models to compensate for the quality? I took a quick glance at your portfolio and I honestly don't see anything there that you should be ashamed of or concerned about.

At any rate, good luck to you. Hope you hear back from support soon.

You must tell them at least 6 month ahead to terminate analytics program in order to delete your models by yourself again ( https://www.cgtrader.com/pages/cgtrader-analytics-terms-of-service ).
If you want to keep analytics you can't. Hope as well you hear back of them after the weekend.
Maybe they delete them for you.

I suppose deleting my account is the only option then :/

Just wait if support answers. They usually answer very quick but recently have a lot to do with reported stolen models / thief accounts. You've got 21 models (at least 5 you need for analytics). I bet they can delete a few of them for you. Actually I don't see anything wrong neither with your models.

@jcarney1995, Deleting your account will remove position and reputation points you might have gained. Keep in mind you can also just edit/upload new files to your already published models and delete the old ones and add new images/text/title, etc. Downside of this is all clients that might have purchased old model now have access to the new model.

That's a good solution, iterateCGI. Previous clients would have access, but I don't think they get notification of changes.

I know there's tons of work arounds but honestly I'm just disappointed with the lack of control on my account, ill be honest i wasn't aware of what i was signing up for with the analytics, and the lack of response from customer service has frustrated me to the point id rather just remove my account and sell on another platform. I know its probably my fault but I'm still just not happy with the service here.

I dont think it should be so difficult to have control over your own artwork or account

But you signed a contract without reading like many folks do and have to go through a learning process ;) - Stay positive, write support you want models deleted by them and want to opt out of analytics. Am sure you'll get a quick answer. - Did you write to support@cgtrader.com too or only to employees? Cause then you'll get a "support ticket" - number and usually they answer within a day.

Unfortunately lately Cgtrader doesn't respond well. It wasn't like this before. I'm not sure if it's due to Corona virus or the lack of efficient staff, but I tried sending emails through different email. It just doesn't work. This waiting is a torture. Worse part in my life that recently everyone and everywhere people started doing this. If I do such a thing to my clients, they'll simply go away.

I'm sure they can remove the models that you want. They did that once for me. CGtrader is cooperative but nowadays it faces some difficulties.
