Client abandoned a in progress project with job loss as the excuse

Discussion started by aeroptero

I had a client who abandoned a project marked as in progress with me, because they told me they lost their job. Since they were unresponsive on CGtrader, the only way I was able to find this out was from contacting them through their Etsy store. I asked if they would return at some point but they just said they are taking a break and deleted their main project, but became unresponsive about dealing with the specific one they opened with me. Since the project has been up for a month already, I'm wondering what options do I have? I would prefer potential future clients to not to see that I have a extra pending project when I apply to new jobs, so is there a way to get this project worked out if its looking like the client will never return? I already emailed CGtrader support at the start of the month but never got a response so I posted here incase that helps this issue get resolved faster.

I have resent the inquiry with the email account I use for this account, since I sent the last one with my gmail, so that's probably why it got lost.
