Marius,
I think the file types (in my case) may not be recognized because my zip files contain folder structures...
I use a zip archive file (.zip) to upload models as it it convenient to store different file formats, folders and also other files such as associated texture maps and even things like file instructions if needed etc. However I have noticed a problem with this. When doing a search for files in a particular format, the 3d models do not show in the search as they are in the zip file.
Can a feature be added so that we can list the file formats so they are searchable without having to separate all files from the zip. It does not help that we can not list the formats in the tags.
I suspect quite a few sellers use zip files and the search problem stops potential buyers from finding suitable formats when in fact the models are there but they do not show in the search if searching by format.
Marius,

It is only applicable if searching by file format eg. .fbx or .max
I may have to do as Wyalo suggests or keep my 3d file formats out of the zip file, otherwise they can not be found by potential buyers in a search when searching by file format.
Hi flat_3d, Wyalo is right, search use only titles and tags for finding right items. That's why we always strongly recommend to write titles of 3-5 words at least (include specific words and generic). And 5-10 tags. Zipping files is not related in any way with the search. Please let us know via support message if something doesn't work or you cannot find your models.
Sometimes I upload a model "filetype" for the filetype I need to show.
For example "filetype.obj" or "filetype.ipt"
If you upload a small model next to your zip files, the filetypes you offer are visable for customers.
I think the search machine works with the titel, tags and the texts that you make for your models.
