Reputation and Rank, 3D Printable Models Vs CG Model

Discussion started by 3rdimension

Hello Alex/CGTrader, As I have seen website is giving same reputation and rank to CG & 3D Printable Model. As per my opinion there should be separate platform for 3D Printable Models. Creating a 3D Printable Model takes more time and efforts than CG Model. As I have seen All the top ranked designers are having gallery of CG models. Because they can create them easily than 3D Printable models. So please create two platform and give reputation and rank as Top 3D Printable Modeler / Top CG Modeler.

I also create CG models but currently I am just focusing on 3D Printable model.

I hope you will understand what I mean to say and will do something regarding this.

Sorry, but I do not see why printable 3D models would be more complicated than classical others ??
Most of my models are printable, simply rescale them to an acceptable size for a 3D printer, and convert to STL ..
here some example (with the photo of the printed model)

Hey :) We plan to update reputation system very soon and change actions and given values a little bit. I'll bring your suggestion up when we will discuss on final version of updated reputation system.

Thanks!

They should be separate, but as far as rank/reputation goes, I don't care as those two are irrelevant anyway.

It's the other way around, buddy. 3D print-ready models are easy to male as you don't need to keep a proper topology, make multiple parts for animation, multiple textures for different surfaces, materials etc.

People don't make 3D print models not because they are hard to make, but because they don't care about printing.

You are right at your point but what you think there should not be two separate Platforms?
