Problems with model publication.

Discussion started by skapricorn

Few minutes ago I've tried to upload new model.

All was normal as usually. But when I pressed the "Publish" button, model wasn't added to "My models" list and wasn't appeared on the CGtrader models list (I've checked "My models page" few times and also checked/refreshed

https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/jewelry?s... page and model is definitely not there...)

Update: the model wasn't published, but my models count on my dashboard increased by 1.

What's wrong?

I want to say to CGT owners/admins: Guys! Your platform has big problems. Maybe you don't care because you have the deals with partners/investors (and maybe with some large sellers) and you are "the king of the hill" in the 3d-models trading business. But the quality of service is going worse. Catastrophically worse. We (designers selling the results of their own work) are struggling. Because you don't care about presentation (see my previous topics about about the "search results" page issues and glitches... How many viewers a.k.a. "potential buyers" are gone away due this factor???), and I've seen other topics about problems with site access started by buyers and designers... please, don't forget your old moto "...FOR designers"!

Model is published and available in search, as well as more than 200 other models uploaded by users today.

It affects probably everyone.
Published assets don't show up and no words from CGT.

This is maybe just a part of a data gathering process because CGT plans to publish 2 new books: How Not to Run a Marketplace and How to Piss Off Customers. (available as Hardcover and eBook)

I just got words from CGT:

"...Hello,
We understand your anger.
The responsible team has been informed.
Apologies for the inconvenience. If there are any other issues, please let me know.

Best regards,
Greta ..."

Hello,

we are very sorry for these issues you have experienced - there was a technical problem that resulted in process lags on the website, including model publishing.

Therefore, while your model was published, as usual, it would not show up on the platform straight away. As it happened over a weekend when we had limited resources, it took longer to fix.

Please be assured, that designers are our top priority and we are always aiming at providing error-free, smooth and efficient service.

We hope you can understand that such issues are not intentional and no platform is safe from technical problems.

We have checked with our technical team and it seems that the fixes are on their way and model publishing should be working as usual soon.

Once again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Kindly,

Judita from CGTrader
