Moderation on project offers and clients

Discussion started by gaudi4ever

Hello everyone this is my first post in the forums. If you look at the offered projects right now you'll see a lot of garbage spam about joining a cult or something, tough this is an extreme case i think it shows a regular problem on the site. A lot of the time the offers are not helpful to anyone, either they are complete garbage or sometimes irrational requests, extremely disrespectful, etc.. I think dedicating some of the staff to monitoring this, or at least including a "report" button on them could help increase the quality of the site a lot, i know that we want as many offers as possible, but a lot of the time the projects are just a time waste for anyone involved. Keep in mind im not talking only about obviously garbage requests, but sometimes there's people requesting things like a fully rigged game ready character for $25, and that's not a serious requests, therefore it's just cluttering and making the site look less serious.

Another semi related issue is that i think a rating system for clients should exist, i have ran into a lot of people who were disrespectful in manners, totally unconsiderate of my time, or outright dishonest, i have also met some who were really good people and professional, i'd love to have a way to tell the two apart so i can know who i'm working with. I like to go the extra mile always with all of my projects, but some people truly don't deserve it, and telling apart the good and bad clients just as the system tells apart the good and bad creators i think would go a long way into improving this site.

Just a thought, hope everyone is ok. Cheers!

Yeah. Its not even the super low-ball offers thats the big issue. I figure those clients are just kinda stupid, but at least serious about getting work done, and the pricing can be negotiated (or they'll find someone willing to do it at that price for probably awful quality). But theres so much just outright garbage. Like, it looks like someone just banged their face on a keyboard and added a couple random images, and submitted that. I've never seen anything like this on any other website, I'm not sure what it even is. It doesn't look like spam, just randomness.

Maybe a pre-payment might be the way to go. If you're even remotely serious about having a project done, you'll be willing to pay 5 dollars to get it listed
