Little requests.. suggestions maybe?

Discussion started by 3dGirls

I'm a seller and I would like to have the ability to download my uploaded files, for example in case if I loose a backup on my computer, and I have no possibility to see what I uploaded..if not by buying my own model, lol. Also I wish I could check if my files were uploaded correctly.

I know that, it could be dangerous, for example if someone hacks the page or steals my password, he could download easily all my models.. But what if sellers could have some separated serial number or password for each model for download?

The another thing is for uploading multiple files.. The publishing page is not quite prepared for such possibility.

In my case, I had to upload multiple zip files, since my textures and ZBrush file were really huge in size, so I had to compress them, so I wish I could see how the page looks for a customer... there should be something like "preview page step" or something similar before publishing..

Oh, the last thing, how about separating preview images from 3d files, or putting this into details step instead? It was a bit weird to put images together with 3d files and textures, it took me a while to figure out how it works..  I was afraid that I had to provide urls and find a host to upload my images.. that would be quite a pain in a$$.

Anyway, thanks for your work and best regards, JBro.

The fastest way to do this is, if you just need to upload one model to publish it as free download it and then re publish as whatever price you had it at. The other way of doing it is to create a support ticket and the CGT team will send it to you by email.

Thanks, I'm sure it works. Of course, still there should be a better way to have an access to your own product files at any moment IMHO.. I'm glad it actually didn't happen to me. Loosing my backups just crossed my mind, since my friend had a HDD failure two days ago.. haha..

CGT is very young, but I can see a significant improvements since the last year and I feel more comfortable here than on turbosquid as it is now. There are still things that could be done better, like the publishing steps as I mentioned before.
I think the CGT can actually become a much better store than turbosquid if they want to.

Cheers, JBro.
