Alas, they don't care. All these new changes are "for our benefit"...
We were getting fat & lazy earning more than a few dollars in revenue for a model that may have taken a month to create... and the poor starving staff at CGTrader were hardly able to survive on the meagre 33% of our earnings, so they thought it would be a good idea to make us all want to take our models elsewhere. A form of slow corporate suicide, that they may not have considered when they started trying to fleece us.
The funniest thing is that I stopped adding new models here. And there are not so many models that have not been added yet. But in six months, even if they remove the new conditions, I simply will not waste time adding these models.
I guess they forgot that they grew out of the mass exodus from sites like Turbosquid. Perhaps it's new staff, or a buyout. Either way, I know I'm not happy with losing hard earned royalties, and the threat of bulk sales to companies that we will have no control over, or means to opt out of - this is just blatant heavy handed - screw you - rewriting of the Terms & Conditions.
