Freelancer 3D project could be a better place for more serious business.
Case Scenario :
A guy posted a project, that i told him i'll spend around 17 hours on it, and he confirm of paying 50$ for my work. Once i come out to present my result. He just cancelled the project. And the time i invest my work in, is lost.
What happened? 3 Possibilities...
1. He might agreed with another applicant to pay using different services, so he cancelled the project, since cgtrader.com site charges #% on the amount of payment.
2. He is a scammer who is waiting others to present 3d figure , so he can download it and run away without paying by cancelling the project.
3. He changed his mind, which doesn't sound legit case.
4. He is a 15 years old kid, who just create accounts ask for project and cancel for no obvious reason laughing on other's waste of time. (trust me there are alot of sick minds out there lol).
Solution: (and i hope site managers or admins could read this).
1. Limit project posting to only the accounts that have valid paypal in it, to guarantee the payment and age restriction. This task is really easy.
2. Upon posting a new project, the website will charge the user a fee of 2$, and a hold amount % of the project offer fee (for example: if his offer is 50$, your website will charge him 2$+(10% of the 50 ) which is 5$. These fees will not be refunded upon project cancellation. SO TO SPEAK, ONLY SERIOUS PROJECT OWNERS WILL HAVE THE GUTS TO POST A NEW PROJECT.
3. Add reputation Count for the amount of cancelled projects, aka if the account ID has many cancellations (it will state that this ID canceled many project, and vice versa if the account owner fulfilled projects he get a up count). So we are (the freelancers) will figure out the legit project owner from the sham project owner easily by reading his reputation status near his name on the project offer preview.
P. S. to the website admins,
By doing these steps, you will guarantee a clean platform for freelancers to work, and great offers and more buyers.
Furthermore, your website will guarantee the profit gained even if the project holder and the worker decided to leave and use another services like (direct paypal paying), because your website will get the fees anyway.
In the end "These steps will help you to force the project owner to continue using the service rather than going outside payment"
Sorry for the long post, Thanks for reading.
