Customer Support could provide better user experience.

Disappointed with the customer support from CGTrader.
Despite my positive purchase history, representative Judita accused me of lying without reason. It's disheartening to be treated this way.

In her own words "sadly, we have no right to refund a model that has already been downloaded as we have no guarantee that you would repurchase it."

I can not understand why they would make such statement when I have n antecedents and I have purchased a couple of items before without issues.

That's it for me on this store, all assets can be found on other stores anyway. For example Renderhub always is happy to help hence I am a loyal customer to them.

Update: In the end they offered me loyalty credits, I hope those can be used without issues on any product.

We would like to clarify that the discounts offered on our platform are only valid during the sale period. Designers on our platform have control over setting their own discounts during these periods if they agree to sell their products for cheaper.

We understand that you have purchased a product at a higher price outside of a sale period and later discovered that the same product is being sold at a lower price. However, we regret to inform you that we are unable to issue a refund in such cases as the discounted price is only valid during the sale period.

As a platform, we have a contractual agreement with our designers, and we are only authorized to issue refunds under certain specific circumstances, such as if the files have not been downloaded, if they are faulty, or if the product does not match it's description/preview images in a significant manner. Unfortunately, the situation you are describing does not fall under any of these approved refund categories.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we hope this clarifies our position. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Why did you came here in the first place when renderhub is better and you are loyal customer to them ? Since we are at, renderhub, ask them to refund you when you get a copyright claim for using model that is stolen from a video game, than come here and share with us your happy expirience with them.

I don't know if I understand very well what your complaint is, but the responsibility of finding the best time to buy something is exclusively the buyer's no?

It happens to all of us that we buy something and a while later it is at a discount, it happens all the time! Everything is devalued either by a promotion or by the passage of time...

For me the real question is how a seller feels when he knows that something is worth its price but buyers always wait for the discount, totally underestimating the work that others do. You see! Unfair things happen to all of us, buyers, sellers... but resign ourselves and move on.

From my point of view and if I have understood the case correctly (English is not my main language) you should be happy, in reality you had no right to anything and even so they have returned your money even if it is in loyalty credits.

Problem here is that author of the topic wants to get around the cgt rules, one of the rules said: If customer who bought model and download it, he/she can only ask for refund if there are something wrong with the product itself, wich can be corrupted/missing files, misrepresentation of the product etc. Of course this have to be confirmed by cgt staff. Alot of thieves are/were trying to exploit refund system to get models for free, offering preposterous excuses and lies upon a purchase in order to keep downloaded model and at the same time get their money back via refund. This cgt rule prevents this.

Of course I think the same, and probably if he doesn't get it that way he will look for another way to do it... Let's hope that CGT continues to avoid this type of trickery.

I'm glad that i do not participate in any loyalty programs, because it would be upsetting to know that my models could be purchased at half the price by some wimp using the credits that he clearly does not deserve to have.
