Whyyyy?!

I wonder what is the purpose of having all your catalogue for free? Lately I have seen a lot of users with great collections all for free. What is the point of that?!

Hi, i agree with edmundask , also some time its good to grape more customers to the marketplace so the volume in the search sites like google will be increased , so lets say cgtrader is ranked as number 10 between the marketplaces, after few months with the high volume of the traffic increased by the free models will make cgtrader move to be number 6 . and so on
u can get an advantage from the free models , download them and c what others have done .

It would be cool if the free models had an option to pay what you like if you want (you can still get it for free, but you can pay if you want)

Mainly for exposure and showcasing of what a particular seller can do.

However, I must say that if you sell high quality, nicely prepared and packaged models, you basically have nothing to fear. More times than not customers seek quality, and free models usually don't exactly fall into that category. If a person chooses some free model instead of a premium one, chances are he wouldn't pay for a model in the first place. At least that's what I think.

I offer free models so people can see if theyfit into their peipeline and projects. as a rule of thumb I offer one model for free from every collection I offer.
Still uploading my catalogue as the new kid around the block here but in a few days the free stuff will be online here too.

Maybe it will be good policy - 1 free model for 10 models. Just as a showroom for quality
