@acera17 I find it quite frustrating that someone who clicks 20 times on "like" button earns as much reputation as someone who publishes a product. I think it's much more profitable for CGT activity, to publish and sell (or buy) products than clicking a "like" button.

Of course someone who boosts itself is cheating but if you take for a normal user the actual system reputation is nice. After there will be always cheaters...

On CGT the "Like" feature is actually diverted from its true meaning - in most cases it's used to increase the reputation score, so the royalties rate .. I think the royalties rate should be only based on sales and purchases .

yes but sales and purchases are not the only representative on your activity, if CGTrader gives you more royalties it's also because you're making the website alive.

I give likes but only when the work truly impresses me, so when someone gives me a like I assume my work just made impression on them. It never occurred to me that it could be that they just do it in order to get a like back, to me that feels like lying and a form of fraud.

I'm not forcing.. I just suggest you look at my models, and if you like them, you can put a "like" it to some extent business.

You are not really suggesting in a positive way, you call people greedy on top, its actually a bit of an insult for most people. Maybe you are showing a bit greediness here? Its actually inappropriate to ask for likes, people should be free to give a like when they actuality like something and they should not feel obligated to do so, does that sound logic? Anyways, wish you the best ;-)

Hmmm I think the like isn't a good example of what you're trying to define.
But I agree with you most of people here are quite greedy, you comment on their models they don't answer you, when you help people you often don't get a thanks... etc
Afterall I figured out that it depends a lot from the country/language of people for example I'm french and on every french forum, marketplace....etc you get nice and polite answers, whereas on english forums or something like this you usually don't receive such answers.

After that's my pov I guess people will have their own vision of da thing

As far as i know likes don't do better placements in the searches. what really helps is views and sales

Which is how it works... It's not "greedy" not to like something

It probably plays a part in it's placement but that just adds to my point. The cream should rise to the top. Likes should be genuine

You can put a "like" under my model right now. because you liked her. not because I'm asking you.

It's not how the like system should work. Likes should indicate how good a model is

doesn't the number of likes determine the place my model will occupy in the search?
