What is the purpose of followers ?

Hmm... I'm just realising this

Followers is a rudimentary feature, that used to mean something (not much) back in the days, but now is completely meaningless. Although even in its best days, it was no better than a three legged dog.

Thats true. I don't even know who I follow and who follows me. Even if there is a way to check it, it is not obvious to find.

If we are complaining herthere is another thing that bothers me - positioning of the models. I noticed that what matters the most aren't sales, views likes, but the amount of formats. For example with 3D printing models you have max 4 significant formats, so there is no point of adding completely useless ones from buyers perspective. I notice however that even poor quality models are on top when they have PLENTY of useless formats.
