what is best practice for viewing models on VR

Discussion started by atticant

I would like to commission tableaus and models for personal enjoyment on my vive, like recreating scenes from horror movies. What would be the best software to commission artists in that I could view on Vive. For instance I like the interface of masterpiece VR, it gives a room I can center to my liking, and I can manipulate the models locations in that 3 d space. I really think this will be a big application for the Technology, especially popular amongst the weirdo's of the internet.

Thank you!

An interesting topic, probably very little known even among 3D artists.
As far as I know, there is not a very important offer of virtual worlds, those who exploit this field will earn money, but I think that, to this day, there are many more people interested in selling buildings and internal decorations than in anything else.
The truth is that any 3D artist who masters his software could build virtual worlds, another thing is that a single person can do all the necessary work, even for relatively simple scenes like what you propose, you need people capable of modeling, rigging ,animate , etc, is more a matter of finding the right people, there are programs for all tastes.
When I became acquainted with the possibilities of virtual reality I was fascinated, I even made some attempts, but soon I found that it was an immense job for a single person.
You can download "Innsmouth" or "Castaway" on my free models page to get an idea of what I'm talking about, maybe will help you to search for colaborators.
