Royalty Free License

Discussion started by kuuk67

Hello!

Just a quick question about the Royalty Free License! I am looking to get some models to create a virtual background/room to use in Youtube videos and Twitch streams. It will be used as a background with a green screen. I have found quite a few FREE models I would like to use but I'm kind of worried about Royalty Free License because not too sure If I'm allowed to do this? Considering Youtube channel and Twitch stream are Commercial based and fully monetized. I have messaged some artists to ask them about this but have no replies. I assume they are not really active on this site. On the page it says Royalty Free License so I should be ok?

I just don't want any legal issues afterwards.

Thanks

I'm sure CGTrader Support will follow up and confirm this, but it should be perfectly fine to use Royalty-Free licensed items for the purpose you've indicated here. As long as you are not reselling the items in any way or claiming them as your own creation, you should be free to utilize them as backgrounds, props, etc. in any animation or video production, even if the videos are monetized. Provided, of course, you've paid for the rights (purchased the models). To my knowledge, this is part of the purpose of that licensing type.

I don't think anyone can speak for the free models you've downloaded, if they weren't downloaded from here, but purchased models with Royalty Free licensing are intended for that type of use.
