what do you think is best software in 3d desgining
This is a hard question! Each software is good at something, but it also depends on the artist and his ability and creativity.
I think Blender 3D is great for designing, and it is free software!
I am still exploring, but so far Maya, Z-brush and Vray..
Maya probably because it has a lot of good features that help speed up the process and make it easy to check if the geometry is clean. However when it comes to industrial design Maya may not always be as good as some of the others because it isn't easy to make things look precise unless you do a lot of back end Python, scripting or have plugins that help you work out the exact measurements.
Most software is comparable. If you want to learn the industry standard, learn Maya.
Well I would say Sketchup ,because beside your 3d models there is sketchup warehouse full of other people 3d models, but if you looking for best free 3d modeling software I would say Blender 3d ,if you are looking for professional 3d modeling software then 3ds max is the way to go.
Well, everyone knows that the best software is "John's Model Maker", which I made myself and I'm currently selling for $15,000. Please go to my site and buy it. :)
Seriously, though, I wrote about this very issue in a blog... scroll down to point #3:
First, how do you even define "best"? I don't mean to put down your question, but it's like asking what's the best flavor of ice cream. (It's "chocolate chunk cookie dough", but that's not important. ;) )
When you ask what's the best software program, do you want a modelling program that’s easy to use, but may not create efficient models? Or do you want a program that requires a little more learning, but makes optimized models? Or do want a modeller with integrated animation or character design tools?
How will you be using the software: will you be sculpting organic models or making hard-edged spaceships?
Or is software considered the "best" because it's free?
My suggestion is download a trial version of every software, use it until the trial period ends, and see how you like it. Maybe your "best" software isn't the same as mine. ;)
