Many artists moved here because TurboSquid failed to keep its promises and lost customers. Now, however, CGTrader has started lowering payout rates as the number of artists grows. If it continues to decline like this, CGTrader will also begin to share the same fate as TurboSquid.

There are already alternative sites available that offer higher payout rates and strong sales potential. If the current trends persist, it looks like a mass exodus will begin here as well. Right now, TurboSquid is trying to retain its artists by implementing a ridiculous affiliate program, yet it hasn't managed to satisfy anyone.

I've noticed that TurboSquid is relying too much on artificial intelligence; they are practically shooting themselves in the foot. What they are doing is shameful, especially after everything artists have done to help them grow. It seems like CGTrader wants to take the same path as well. However, they need to remember that just as we made them grow, we can also bring them down.

Just had a full round of increasing my prizes of my models to compensate the nasty fee increase. It will make the models much more expensive as I have them on other plattforms but in the end the customor will decide if he wants to buy it more expensive here or on antoher plattform and give more to the artist rather than the broker. Willingly to reduce the prizes again if the fees land on fair conditions again. We should all opt out of subscriptions as well I think as this is selling our stuff far below its value while delivering stable income to cgtrader.

You can raise your prices, but don't forget that CGTrader has a "Best Price Guaranteed" policy. If a customer finds your model on another platform at a lower price, they can contact support, and the platform will match your price to the one listed on the other site. That’s the kind of "wonderful" policy it is.

I was already complaining when it was low, but 50% now is truly ridiculous, that’s half my earnings. Other marketplaces pay out as much as 88%; I think the site will continue to go downhill unless they change something.

I'm really disappointed with this change. My payout rate started at 60 percent, and through hard work and consistent sales, I managed to increase it to 62. Now, it's dropped to 56, meaning I'm losing a significant portion of my earnings despite continuing to invest time and effort. Existing designers have already contributed to building this platform, attracting buyers and generating sales. We shouldn't be treated as if our contribution no longer matters once the platform changes its payout structure. If a new structure is necessary, existing designers should be protected from having their rates reduced, especially when those rates were earned through previous sales and consistent effort. Please reconsider and take the concerns of your existing designer community seriously.

The only real alternative is TurboSquid, and they suck too. That said, it won't be long before they pay more than CGT, at which point I will go back to them. CGT dropping 10%+ in little over 12 months AND charging us to get our money, is bloody ridiculous. They want AI Slop, and that is what they will get. This is not just ripping us off, it is sad, because CGT was always paying a fair rate imo. Now they are either under the influence of some weird drug, or they just got greedy.

How about we reset our Portfolior and move somewhere else ? Just drop the CGTtrader portfolio like they drop our payout rate?...
