yep, as previous speaker suggested, a clearer explanation what you´re going to achieve would be helpfull in order to support you.
If you aren´t native english speaker try with a translator, that works too.

probably more clear explanation would help. what does unwrap have to do with layer system, you are working on single object, is that so?
